Sustainable from Bean to Cup
Stean’s Beans works according to the principle of direct trade, which means that they deal directly with coffee farmers.
No intermediaries, but transparent and fair trade.
Thanks to this, farmers receive on average 30% more than under fair-trade schemes, which contributes to liveable wages and sustainable development in the communities where the coffee originates.
The beans are carefully selected from small-scale plantations in countries like Ethiopia, Kenya and Peru, always with attention for nature, people and the environment.
By investing in regenerative farming techniques, Stean’s Beans also actively helps restore exhausted agricultural land.
Climate-positive Coffee
Did you know that an average cup of coffee has a CO₂ footprint of about 0.4 kg CO₂? Stean’s Beans not only compensates this emission, but goes a step further: the brand is climate-positive. That means they compensate more CO₂ than they emit, among others via reforestation projects and sustainable energy initiatives.
Social impact with every sip
Besides sustainability, Stean’s Beans also commits to social impact. From every cup of coffee served, part of the proceeds goes to projects such as:
• Education for children of coffee farmers
• Micro-credits for female entrepreneurs
• Training in sustainable agriculture techniques
A collaboration we are proud of!
